OCCGS proudly presents

"Dinner with Daniel"

a unique dinner seminar with

Daniel Horowitz

MyHeritage Chief Genealogist

As part of his whistle-stop 2020 Southern California Genealogy Tour, MyHeritage Chief Genealogist Daniel Horowitz makes his only Orange County appearance at Huntington Beach Central Library, home to Orange County California Genealogical Society.

Enjoy a catered dinner for this evening seminar featuring two fascinating family history topics suitable for all levels of genealogical expertise. Registration opens in early March for this exceptional event open to society members and the general public. Seating is limited to 100 guests and we're sure to sell out, so get your tickets today.

Session 1: If I Only Knew Then What I Know Now! Doing Genealogy Right

An unexpected record finding forced Daniel to retrace his research to discover many details he'd missed before. Now he shares the lessons learned best practices, utilizing the latest resources, and how to avoid making the same mistakes.

Session 2: Mobile Technology for Genealogy

Mobile applications for photo and data sharing allow you to access your information quickly and easily in real-time via the internet to review, modify and share.

Each lecture is designed to captivate the audience, while teaching useful genealogical methods and techniques.

Daniel Horowitz is the Genealogy Expert at MyHeritage, providing key contributions liaising with genealogy societies, bloggers and media, as well as lecturing and attending conferences around the world.

Daniel is a Venezuelan-born genealogist living in Israel, and is chief genealogist at MyHeritage, the world's fastest-growing genealogy social network. Trained as a computer engineer and linguist (he's fluent in Spanish, English and Hebrew), Daniel applies his training to his genealogical passion.

Dedicated to genealogy since 1986, Daniel was the teacher and study guide editor for the family history project "Searching for My Roots" in Venezuela for 15 years. Daniel is involved in several crowdsource digitization and transcription projects, and he holds a board level position at the Israel Genealogy Research Association (IGRA).
