Rescue the Research
Introduction
For as long as folks have worked to figure out something about their ancestors - their names, where they were born, lived, worked, raised families and died - drawn their family trees, and captured their stories, they have written notes to record what they found. Since our Society was formed in 1963 our members, and others, have graciously shared some, or all, of their research for visitors to our Genealogy Library at the Huntington Beach Central Library. That first took the form of hard copy paper files in cabinets, which we have now digitized and made available to researchers online. So, we invite you to click around and see what you can find... who knows, you might even break-down a brick wall or two!
Note: While most of the original documents in this collection were 8-1/2" x 11" a few are "oversized." These were scanned in sections and "stitched" together to make large PDF files. Unfortunately those files do not always reliably convert/OCR to text that is searchable online, but they can still be opened here and viewed by researchers.
