Huntington Beach Central Library

Genealogy Collection

Located in Huntington Beach's beautiful Central Park, the HB Central Library is home to the Genealogy Collection maintained and developed by OCCGS. The Genealogy Center is on the lower level of the library and contains over 23,000 volumes. The Genealogy Center is open during normal library hours and is for reference use only (items cannot be checked out). OCCGS volunteers are available to provide information about the collection by appointment only.

Our new FamilySearch Affiliation will give Huntington Beach Central Library patrons access to additional digital records not available outside a family history center or regular public library. Currently there are about 400 thousand original records in a digital format to which we now have access on the new dedicated computers in our OCCGS Genealogy Research Room at HBCL.
