General Membership Meetings

OCCGS General Membership Meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month. July 2, 2022 we begin our hybrid meeting at the Huntington Beach Central Library and virtually via Zoom. Seating will be limited at the library, so please make sure to register prior to attending either virtually or in person. OCCGS meets in the lower level, Rooms C and D. The Library opens at 9:00 AM and the meeting room opens for seating at 9:30 AM.

First-time visitors are welcome to attend the General Membership Meetings and may sign in at our greeter's table. You will be introduced during the meeting.

The General Membership Meeting starts at 10:00 AM and includes the following:

Announcements of Society business
Introduction of our guests and first-time members

Following the General Membership Meeting we have a guest speaker who presents two topics of interest to genealogists and family historians of all levels.

SIG Meetings

Special Interest Group meetings are returning after a lapse due to COVID. Check the Calendar to see specific dates and topics.

Research Trip to the FHL, Salt Lake City

Come join the Orange County California Genealogical Society (OCCGS) in our annual sponsored week-long research trip to Salt Lake City, Utah, focusing on independent research at the FamilySearch Library

Participants stay with the OCCGS group at the host hotel in downtown Salt Lake City and spend the week working on their own genealogical research projects.

Participation in the research trip requires OCCGS membership. Non-members may participate by selecting the non-member registration option when registering.
