10:10 AM - WWII Overview Through the Lens of Family History P1
11:15 AM - WWII Overview Through the Lens of Family History P2
This unique presentation looks at WW2 in the same way as it unfolded for our ancestors: chronologically. This not only provides us a better understanding of a family's wartime experience, it also helps us interpret and analyze WW2 records more accurately. The program is divided into two parts: 1940-1942 and 1943-1946. Each one-hour session provides a user-friendly timeline of key military events and discusses their impact on US families and their communities. It also highlights examples using various records.Speaker Handouts, when available, can be found in OCCGS Members Only on the Speaker Handouts page.
