Al Rattan
Al Rattan is a native Californian, author, and genealogical researcher specializing in Revolutionary War lineage. He is the author of The Fighting Catheys and Mitchell Porter: Answering George Washington’s Call to Arms. A retired Deputy Sheriff Investigator, commercial pilot, and real estate developer, Al brings a unique investigative approach to family history research.

11:15 AM - In-Person Workshop
Put the lecture into action during this hands-on workshop. Attendees will work on their own Revolutionary War research questions while Al offers guidance on next steps, documentation strategies, and how to evaluate potential Patriot ancestors.
*Laptop strongly recommended. Attendees will work on their own research problems during the workshop.
